Flipping heck there was some damage done to bodies, every rider gave it their all tonight – top quality shifts put in. The Warm Up was based around the ¾ circuit that included tight corners, sweeping corners and long straights. In pairs the riders moved of the front of the pack of 16 riders and moved around the circuit at a steady pace to rejoin the rear of the pack. This developed into teams of riders working together and then into one rider having a slight head start over their partners. The group worked at either trying to stay away from the chasers or the chasers worked together to pull in the target. The second zone was based on a much shorter circuit with sweeping corners at either end. To start with the group circulated around the zone as a park before completing a number of dismounts – remounts. It was then straight into mini starts and sprints in pairs – these efforts came around very quickly, I was trying to put the group under pressure. This moved on another level as the group completed flying laps in packs of 8 then it was straight into dismounts and remounts. I was looking for quality, even thou the riders looked ‘nailed’. After a small break – 30 secs – it was straight into ‘a place called home’. This was based on a large circuit incorporating the previously used areas, being kind I included a 40mtr road section. 3 mega efforts completed – very hard. Moment of the night – £10 fines will be issued next week to those riders who deviated off the course and took a short cut! I am very impressed by the standard of riding this winter – no constant crashing or are we all just missing Kris ? Top quality night, full of praise for the Youth Whizz Kid’s. See you all next week, I promise an easier week! tickety boo Dean
